2009 Alfa Romeo Brera S

Very few sport cars are developed only for Britain’s roads. Alfa Romeo has intended these cars for the true driver’s cars. After a year of extensive suspension and chassis developments, Prodrive, the worlds-leading motor sport specialist, Voices out their opinion on this car with outstanding driver feedback and handling. Different from other cars, this unique addition to Alfa Romeo’s UK range of cars has limited their models to individual 500 cars. The power of this car exists in two direct injection petrol engine, the 185 bhp 2.2 JTS and the 260 bhp 3.2 V6 JTS.

Nicholas Bernard, the marketing director at Alfa Romeo UK comments: “Significantly, the Alfa Brera S isn’t simply about brute force, it's about how the available power is transferred to the road and how the road surface is communicated back to the driver to bring new levels of sports handling and driver-focused confidence and involvement.” Prodrive engineers experimented to match their 2008 model, extensive tuning exercises achieves the desired ride/handling abilities. With a quick steering response driving enthusiasts in the UK won’t have to worry about accidents.

With a new 19 inch alloy wheels, customized as Pirelli PZero Nero tires, increasing the responsive turn-in corners, with rising driver feedback, there is not limit to this dynamic car. Not only it is flashy but you can design your sport seats in soft black Frau Leather with red stitching, also to the door panels, steering wheel and gearlever. Foot pedals are equipped with drilled aluminum and a headrest recess houses. The 2.2 JTS can reach 0-60 mph in an arguably 7.0 seconds, achieving top speeds of 155 mph. Alfa Romeo 8C Spider

At the recent Paris show, Alfa Romeo unwrapped the production version of the 8C coupe. It goes on sale some time next year for $200,000, and as few as 500 units may be built. The three spoke steering wheel with the squared off bottom adjusts in both reach and rake, the power operated seats move back a long way, the foot well is deep, and there is sufficient clearance between the slab sided door panel and the transmission tunnel. But once the manual roof is closed, the swayback silhouette makes taller people to duck and crouch in discomfort. The show car is fitted with a good mix of black leather and brushed aluminum.

The aluminum pedals are well spaced, but the clutch is a bit too heavy. The 8C Spider features the traditional six-speed manual transmission from the Maserati GranSport Coupe.

The 2008 Alfa Romeo 8C Spider can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than four seconds. The maximum speed is 185 mph. The entire body and interior is fabricated with carbon fiber for a total of 3300 pounds. Compared with its closely related donor car, the Maserati GranSport Spyder, the Alfa Romeo 8C is 176 pounds lighter, 2.4 inches wider, 1.2 inches lower, and 1.6 inches longer. The wheelbase grew by 4.3 inches, and it now exactly matches the foot print of the Maserati GranSport Coupe.

The V-8 Engine is a 4.7 liter version of the Maserati 4.2 liter unit and is rated at 450 hp. With maximum torque of 347 lb-ft available at 4750 rpm, the Alfa engine whips up more twist action than the F430, and it also out distances both Maseratis.

2012 Ugur Sahin Design Alfa Romeo 12C GTS

After the Anadi received warm welcome and entered production; Ugur Sahin has proudly unveiled the 2012 Ugur Sahin Alfa Romeo 12C GTS concept car. Ugur Sahin aims to give a new interpretation to the legendary Alfa Romeo lines.

If you think that the Alfa Romeos that you have seen before are eye catching, the concept car is stunning.

Engine

There are barely any details about how the 12C GTS will be powered. But since it draws inspiration from Alfa Romeo's 8C, experts predict that it might just get the same powertrain. That would be the 4.7 liter V8 engine that delivers 444 horsepower and 354 lbs/ft of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed robotized gearbox to provide smoother shifting and smooth performance.

Performance

Based on the specs of the 8C, the Ugur Sahin Design (USD) Alfa Romeo 12C GTS is projected to have a top speed of 181 mph. It can reach a quarter mile within 12.4 seconds, and it can run from a standstill to 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds. Since there are possibilities for Alfa Romeo to update its engine, there are great chances that the concept car can do better.

Exterior

What is the most exciting about the 12C GTS is the updated design from Ugur Sahin. The surface, the styling cues and the historical lines are given a fresh perspective that, according to the designer, imparts a state of mind. The new 12C GTS has sharper lines, yet the familiar organic characteristics that you loved about the Alfa Romeo still remains.

Even if the car is standing still, you can sense the "forward movement" exuded by its stance. The organic lines flow from front to rear with hardly any disruptions, making the car look whole. In their center is the iconic Alfa Romeo grille. From the side, your eyes can see the proportional balance as well as the seamless lines that divide the upper and lower parts of the car.

Pros

Great car concepts can get even greater once the production is finished. The Ugur Sahin Alfa has top of the class looks and performance. You can also expect the car to have luxurious interiors. Putting things in the cabin with low-quality is simply not reasonable. The 2012 12C GTS is worthy of being included in your collection.

Cons

Supercars have very little flaws. If there were any, that would mainly be the price. It is yet to unveiled because right now, Ugur Sahin is looking for willing investors to make this car concept possible. And if that is, you will definitely have another car that is one of a kind.

As soon as the car finds generous patrons, the manufacturer will start production. If the 2012 Ugur Sahin Design Alfa Romeo 12C GTS made your heart beat faster, you might just need to follow it.
